back in Force Kids. Holidaze are over and we have to do something to stay sane here in SouthEast Michigan. Well, there is Plenty on the Plate
This Weekend the Antifreeze Blues Festival starts Friday at the Magic Band. Way too many bands to mention. Go to the Magic Bag's Website, at the end of the update, for the Details.
January 11th Necro Saint Andrews
Covert Operations Purple Moon Flint
January 13th The Jam Society w/ Ari Teitel. The Pike Room
Pontiac (part of the Crofoot). I am keeping my
eye on the 13 year old guitar progeny, Ari. The
resume if whom he has played with in his young
life is impressive.
January 15th The Carolina Chocolate Drops The Ark. This
band caught my attention because they are
playing a few gigs in the area. I went to their site
and found they are an authentic North Carolina
string band. They have website
www.carolinaschocolatedrops.com and a
cool myspace page with video.
January 16th Wynton Marsalis Hill Auditorium
January 17th Covert Operations 5th Avenue Royal Oak
The Carolina Chocolate Drops The Whiting
Flint
January 18th Macpodz Blind Pig
G Love and the Special Sauce at the Fillmore
(the State Theatre in Detroit to some of us)

January 25-26 The Ann Arbor Folk Festival Friday looks like
night I'd see (I'll be on tour with moe though).
There are many classic acts returning. KUDOS
to the Update's very own (my Ferndale homey)
Jill Jack (luv ya honey) playing on Saturday.
