Ticket Alert

Hey Now Peeps

Happy Spring long time no talk.

I need to get this out though because the ticket alert is afire. Ben Harper is playing a rare club date at St. Andrews. Tickets go on sale Saturday at 10 am. at www.livenation.com There is a two ticket limit.

On going this week. Assembly Line Concert-Farm Aid for the Big Three. There is a music marathon (250 hrs) that started Friday at AJ's Cafe 240 West 9 Mile Road in Ferndale. Yours truly ended up on stage last night. It is to draw attention to the plight of the Auto Industry. Governor Granholm showed up there today. I get coffee at AJ's every day and can tell you the music has been superb. Saturday morning at 800 am there was a band that conjured the song of the British blues bands of the 60's and definitely called into play the gravelly sound of the Grateful Dead circa 1968. Brando of Brando and Friends showed up yesterday morning to fill a spot, He brought the heat, breaking out the elusive custom made Schwartz "Shaman" acoustic guitar. I say this guitar is elusive because he rarely takes it outside his private practice space. So come out to support this event. Live music around the clock and AJ's is trying to break a Guinness World Record for the longest record. But wait, there is competition from a cafe in Statesville, NC. Let's kick these Tar Heels' asses as will the mighty MSU Spartans in the NCAA Basketball Tournament!!!!

On the horizon. Next week, we host the NCAA Final Four. GO SPARTANS but y'all already now how I feel. Several bands are going to be playing around the Big D in support of this once in a lifetime event. For example, Flophouse is playing at the AT&T stage at 4pm on 4/3 at the GM Building (aka the Renaissance Center). This will be an outdoor event. I intend to do a little more research to get to the "meat" of the schedule. Also Flophouse and Ekoostik Hookah are playing the same night at Blondie. I am a bit surprised at this location.
More a little later this week. I hope.
