Summer's here and its time to dance . . .

Hello phriends

What a weekend for music. I am in awe. And to the dads out there, many outdoor shows to enjoy on your special dad. Happy Father's Dad, men.

I wanted to put this out there. I took some heat recently from someone out in the community who was pissed that I was not advertising a particular band. I replied, informing the writer, that due to the size of the Update and the amount of material that I cull through to find shows, it is helpful that the band has a presence on the web. One place to get your music out there so that I can see it is Jambase. www.jambase.com. Another is to join our Facebook page. http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/group.php?gid=6816283876&ref=ts. I am all about getting the word out there. But, please get the word to me that you are playing. You can reply to the email or leave a comment on the blog page. http://detroitmusicupdate.blogspot.com

So now on to the music . . . .

Enter the Haggis Liberty Plaza Ann Arbor Looks like A2 is doing a series of free music during the summer. This band describes itself as Celtic Rock. Here's their bio. http://www.jambase.com/Artists/33452/Enter-the-Haggis/Bio. I AM NOT SURE OF THE TIME. Maybe one of our A2 friends knows.
